Hydration is Key! Our whitening gel does not typically create sensitivity, however, hydrating with water before and after your whitening session will significantly reduce any sensitivity that may occur.
Do not brush or floss 6 hours prior to your whitening session as this causes the gums to pull away from the teeth naturally and can cause sensitivity and blanching.
At the end of every session a vitamin booster is applied. This treatment contains trace minerals that are essential to healthy teeth. For sensitivity, it helps desensitize your teeth by numbing nerves that may be affected due to hydration.
Drink water for the next two hours to decrease sensitivity.
Do Not smoke or chew tobacco for at least two hours.
NO dark colored food or beverage for at least 24 hours.
NO coffee, tea, soda, punch, red wine, tomato sauce, red meat, dark colored veggies, or anything of heavy color for 24 hours.
YES to water, white wine, chicken, pork, turkey, noodles, white sauces, white cheese, potatoes, etc. after two hours.
Next 48 Hours - brush very gently with white toothpaste. DO NOT brush gums. Avoid using whitening or baking soda toothpaste.
Any sensitivity that you may feel is typically gone within 24 hours. Feel free to take a pain reliever if you need help with sensitivity. More pain or sensitivity may occur to those who find themselves to be more sensitive on a regular, daily basis. Extra care should be taken to reduce pain after the whitening process.
Use your vitamin booster at night for 20 minutes on your gums and teeth, then rinse. Repeat weekly.
